An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
